I have had the benefit of traveling around the world through my mother's work at the Department of International Relations & Corporation. Living and schooling for multiple years in countries such as Portugal, England, Lesotho and Nigeria has allowed me to be exposed to different cultures. This was a great opportunity for me because it gave me extensive knowledge on adapting and creating relationships with people from all walks of life. My university career was a time that I used to mould myself into the person I am today. I chose to study International Relations because I enjoy learning and buildings relations with people from around the world. I was fortunate enough to join the basketball team which gave me skills that I could use in my work life. The most important skill that was drawn from this time was teamwork. Teamwork is essential in a lot of working environments, being able to work with other people is essential in reaching a common goal. Additional skills I learnt were obtained while volunteering to be a part of the Basketball Committee. We engaged in tasks such as social media advertisements and fund raising initiatives for the team. I am a young person who is strong willed, determined and eager to enter the work force and make a fruitful change to myself and my employer
