I have completed an apprenticeship with Transnet School of Engineering in Koedespoort over 4 years and I have acquired Section 26D Trade Certificate. During this time I also undertook Diesel Electric Fitter duties. I was responsible for undertaking maintenance, service and repair work on Diesel and Electric Locomotives in accordance with the approved maintenance plans. I also worked as an Operator for eight months at Transnet Engineering (Special Projects) where I was responsible for manufacturing and refurbishing electrical and mechanical components. I also worked at Transnet Engineering (Steel Loose Components) on contract basis as from April 2018 to March 2019. I was responsible for cutting, bending, welding and grinding of electrical and mechanical components. I have acquired training and certificates on Basic Fire Fighter (Level 1), Pendant and Remote Control Overhead Crane 40t, Towing Tractor Code 01 and Forklift 7 Ton Code 2. I have also completed N4 in Electrical Engineering, Heavy Current.
