Hi! I guess I need to tell you what you need to know ... about my career and experience as it would apply to various positions. I am fortunate to be an ambivert and am multi-skilled in various business disciplines, having started out at the bottom of the bottom as an archiving clerk when there were no computers! Thousands of documents and files had to be memorized and picked at random when a Senior Official in the Town Council needed a document. I advanced to the typing pool and from there to PA of the Council Secretary. In addition, were giving wages to do for Parks Department as well as to co-ordinate management and letting of Council Conference and Community Halls. I progressed into Debit/Creditors Clerk at Truworths H/O in Durban and thereafter moved to Jhb with a transfer within the Group, which I left to pursue better opportunities. This led to me becoming Girl Friday in a Mine Rigging Supplies Company doing all-round functions and after a few years, left to become PRO for Welcome Jhb! Advanced into office of the then Mayor for Jhb Centenary, which really set me firmly on my path for Marketing, Advertising and Sales. Following this was a long stint as Group Marketing Manager for a Group of 8 companies withing SA Cultural Holdings Pty Ltd where I managed every marketing discipline and marketing staff with great zeal and success. Then followed a period as Financial Executive with Proplace Pty Ltd where I advised mainly retirees and Executives on their retirement investments. Fortune 500 Company Avery Dennsion provided another long period for further Marketing and General Management experience in a fast paced, Six Sigma, world class organisation. I was responsible for import of raw material, converting products in our factory, managed inventory, stock levels, marketing and sales, et al and later was given an additional division, Graphics (outdoor signage) to be responsible for as well. It was time to become self-employed which I successfully embarked on for 15 years until tragedy of my husband as business partner's death brought that period to an end. My passions are Marketing and Sales, creating opportunities, exploring new markets and marketing avenues and breaking ground in new territories. I thrive under pressure and have a natural knack for dealing comfortably at all levels with people and engedendering trust. I am registered with IMM South Africa and completed bookkeeping with distrinction at Damelin, among many other Certification Courses completed during the course of my career. I have a sterling track record and look forward to adding value to the future through my continued economic efforts and contributions.
