I began my career with AfriGIS where I mostly handled data capturing and geo-coding, this laid down the foundation of all my future endeavours. Due to this foundation, which I have groomed, so well, working in (with EnviroGIS) research and metadata, modelling, GIS analysis and management, map compilation and production came with challenges but it was second nature of experience to me. My latest collection of attributes come from Statistics South Africa whereby I am responsible for: geo-referencing, analysis, Geocoding, on-screen digitising, editing and report writing, Evaluate and implement any adjustments to administrative boundaries, Update and standardize geographies relevant to the National Statistics System and stakeholders, Develop Sound Quality assurance methods, processes and procedures and Provide geographical support services for census and survey data collection and map production. I am a hard-working, ambitious person. I am well-oriented person with a sense of ownership by being responsible, assertive and accountable. I deem in setting goals for myself and persevere to accomplishing them. My priorities are now focused on improving my career and developing myself as a resourceful GIS specialist and focusing on using my 10 years and 6 months experience to uplift the duties I will be responsible for, while maximising profits to your organisation. I now simply look forward to finding a new edge to improve, as I believe all the challenges and experience (both socially and work related) qualify me to handle such position and attempt greater heights. I am currently registered with South African Geomatics Council as GISc Technician and Technologist in training categories; believe that I am more than capable to execute responsibilities regarding the post’s requirements.
