I have experienced working as a contractor in an acid manufacturing company (FOSKOR), (ILLOVO), (CHEMICAL INITIATIVE) (RICH BAY CHEMICAL), (ROAD CONSTRCTION) which included construction work. While much of my experience has been in the construction world, I understand the basics of working in a manufacturing/production company. My responsibilities have included the training and inducting newly appointed employees, updating all legal appointments, ensuring all safety registers are up to date, ensuring risk assessment and method statement are updated and communicated with the rest of the employees, conduction investigation and participating on safety audits, updating and maintaining all safety files and other documents as far as safety is concern. Performing Site inspection, presiding safety meetings as it was part of the mentoring and development program. I have worked closely with different safety professionals, managers, supervisors and team leaders who assist in making safety a priority in an organisation. I have worked on different site, as I worked for a contraction company, each tender that was awarded to us, I had to compile safety paper work before work commences.
