I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular & Life Science from the University of Limpopo with six (6) months experience as a laboratory assistant at the University of Limpopo Biochemistry, Microbiology and Biotechnology Laboratory (BMBT). I also attained my basic experience at University of Limpopo of the following: • Preparing microbiological media and reagents • Verifying and checking equipment prior to use for experiment purposes. • Supervising student’s experiments during practical sessions and assisting where needed. • Managing laboratory equipment • Supervising students • And currently gaining further experience at JOHANNESBURG WATER (SOC) LTD as an Intern Analyst. My current responsibilities are as follows: • Conducting sampling from various sample points. • Knowledge of analysis techniques, plate labelling, incubation and interpretation of results • Operating and maintaining equipment i.e. Autoclaves, Incubators, PH meters etc. • Entering and checking results on LIMS. • Exposure to ISO 17025;2005 • Analysis of both waste-water and drinking water samples for coliforms and http://www.******.***.
