Dear Sir/Madam I have a qualification in Diploma of accounting which I obtained at the University of Johannesburg in 2015. I am a Finance Intern at the Department of Social Development Head Office, under the Management Accounting unit. I was part of capturing the adjustments made to the 2019/20 budget of the Department. I worked under the Accounts Payable unit where we processed invoices for payments. I have been at the Department since June 2019 to date. I previously interned at Amasiko Trading Enterprise. I performed payroll duties using Sage One Payroll and also created invoices on Excel. I am competent in BAS and SAP systems as well SRM and Excel Pivot Table. Duties at Social Development: • Accounts Payable Unit o Invoice capturing on SRM o Processing of invoices on SAP o Record invoices to be submitted in the Invoice book o Update Excel invoice register o Check Invoice Payment status on BAS o Compile PIVOT in Excel o Compile and send pivot Reports per responsibility o Verify Invoices on Verify system • Management Accounting Unit o Identify misallocation of expenditure on commitment expenditure and detailed reports requested on BAS. o Upload journals on SAP system to correct misallocation of funds before month end closure. o Compile Pivot Table and send weekly and monthly expenditure to responsible managers o Check out the Standard Charts of accounts (SCoA) codes on requisition forms submitted by the business units to ensure that the correct expenditure allocation are used as per SCOA codes. o Compile fund requisitions template to submit to Mangers for Treasury cash management unit o Attend monthly bilateral meeting with programmer managers o Effective budget shift in line with PFMA on a shift template Duties at Amasiko Trading Enterprise: • Sage Payroll Admin • Tendering • Compile Invoices • Request and Compile quotations
