I have been working for Edcon for the past twenty four years and I started working as a Debt Collector I was negotiating with customers who are behind with their account to arrange a payment plan and end up rehabilitating their accounts. And I also moved from that position to work as an HR Administrator capturing the Golden Heart Award Nomination form for employees who are going the extra mile in the company. From that position I moved on to work as a HR Contact Centre Agent for the same company whereby I was attending to the call centre to answer calls from employees who had Hr related queries and make sure that I attend to them and give them the relevant feedback within the service level agreement. I provided guidance and assistance to all employees and managers on various Hr aspects and initiatives as placed in the HR Shared Services Centre in order to achieve and informed workforce. My job was to print IRP5 for employees who have left the company and send them via email. From being and HR Contact Centre I moved on to work as an HR Learning Coordinator and I was sending training notifications to employees to inform them of their training date and I some of the come from far I will book flights accommodation and shuttle services for them and make sure that their catering needs are attended to. I was managing the booking of training room so as to avoid double bookings. I will follow up with employee to confirm if they will be attending the training. Before training I will draft the training register and send it to the trainer who after the training will send it back and I will capture the attendance and the results on the system. Once the training is finished I have to make sure that the employees have transport to take them back home. I had to make sure that training rooms are conducive for training to take place and training materials are available. I was accepting the bursary applications for our employees who are willing to continue with their studies and also for the children of our employees who wanted to study at tertiary institutions. Once I have received the bursary application form I will compile a spreadsheet with their names the department they are working in their institution name and the qualification they are studying and I will send it together with the bursary packs for approval and after they have been approved I will send the approval letters to the successful employees, and thereafter I will capture the details on the system and send instruction to payroll to process the payments. After the first semester or at the end of the year I will follow up with employees to request the results and I will capture them on the system and if there are those who failed I will capture bursary loans for payroll to start deducting from their salaries. Now I am working as an HR Administrator I am accepting the applicants on the system called my Focus and captured them on the system called HR Focus and issue them with employee numbers and I assist them if they want to join medical aid by sending medical aid applications to various medical aid companies that our company is using and employees have chosen and when they leave the company I terminate them on the system and draft UI19, U.27 Salary Schedule and Certificate of Service for them. Once terminated I facilitate for them to receive their provident fund payment by authorizing their withdrawal forms and send the forms to either Saccawu Fedcraw or Alexander Forbes. I assist employees who have left when they need their IRP5 I send them. I confirm employment for employees working for Edcon with external companies.
