I have, over my career, been responsible for operations and strategy in varied roles, both in the Non-profit and private sector. After taking some time off to travel I am ready to take on my next journey and join an amazing organisation committed to making a difference. I have a solid track record of taking on uncharted work, and turning a blank slate it into tangible outputs and meaningful outcomes. I am seeking to use my exceptional program management, critical thinking, and problem solving abilities in a new challenge, A bit more on my work experience, as a Director at Brunswick - a global consulting firm, I was responsible for drawing on the global Business and Society offering and crafting and delivering the offer for the African market as well as delivering on existing projects and business development. Before this, I spent the bulk of time at Africa’s largest bank by assets, leading strategic programmes for the group which ranged from Human Rights, to Stakeholder Relations, to Sustainability. During my time at the bank I was also Chief of Staff for the Chief Information Officer of the retail bank. Prior to this, as an independent consultant I worked with a broad range of stakeholders across various levels. Projects were end-to-end: from concept, through to execution, data analysis, recommendation and implementation, all with the aim of making a positive contribution in addressing mostly complex societal challenges. This experience ties in well with the communications, governance and leadership requirements for this director role. Over the past 15 years my creativity, flexibility and hands-on ability to work with clients has resulted in successful outcomes for myself and those I work with. Some select highlights in my career, to demonstrate the value I could add to your organisation and its stakeholders: • Successfully led the delivery of the first iteration of a bank’s shift from a traditional Sustainability Report to a Report to Society – telling the story of sustainable financial value alongside social value in a manner that resonates with financial and non-financial stakeholders. • Successfully led a widely consultative review and revision of the Group’s Human Rights policy. • Simultaneously ran an educational trust and a CSR function within a short space of time. • Full ownership of NGO reporting to a board of trustees and compiling annual reports. • Working closely with a CEO as the Second-In-Charge, we doubled turnover within two years and later grew the staff complement from 2 to 8. • Master of Commerce Degree with Distinction from Africa’s top university and business school. My journey has in many ways mirrored the journey of planet as we seek to find more meaningful engagement and develop more sustainable solutions. I am ready to be part of a team looking to do great things in the new decade.
