FUNCTIONAL EXPERIENCE. I have had the opportunity to work for large and small enterprises in various capacities with regards to job function and job level. My functional expertise can be described as falling broadly within the commercial sphere, specifically: SALES, some B2C sales and distribution management, EXTENSIVE B2B SALES management; PRODUCT AND PRICING, some B2C and B2B product and pricing management; extensive MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS and BRAND MANAGEMENT experience, including brand performance tracking; MARKET SEGMENTATION, some B2C segmentation, extensive B2B segmentation, some addressable market sizing; FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT, extensive triple-statements management and reporting. With regards to job level, from the start of my career, I have had no less than management roles, culminating in executive roles. As an executive I was exposed to working with senior executives, including board director-level executives. A. ECONOMIC SECTOR EXPERIENCE. I have had the privilege of working across a diversity of economic industries, as follows: TELECOMMUNICATIONS, an industry where I’ve spent a majority of my working experience, working for MTN Group as well as some of MTN Group’s operating companies; BUISNESS SERVICES, specifically working at a sales agency and a brand activation agency; BANKING, working at Nedbank, a leading South African bank; TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY, working at the Blue Train, the world-renowned property offering a luxury hospitality experience; ENTREPRENEUR, running a company which serves B2B customers, providing COMMERCIAL ADVICE (viable business model development and execution), mostly to Start-Ups, Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. B. GEOGRAPHIC MARKET EXPERIENCE. As Group General Manager for Brand and Marketing Communications at MTN Group I had the opportunity to work with Chief Marketing Officers in all the markets where MTN Group has operations. This involved extensive travel to several markets to engage directly with colleagues in those markets and various other stakeholders. While in that role I visited several countries in WEST AFRICA, EAST AFRICA and one in the MIDDLE EAST, specifically Iran. I had the privilege of serving as Chief Marketing Officer at MTN in ESWATINI. Through my business I have travelled to a few markets seeking to expand markets for one of my clients specifically, Ethiopia, which I visited several times.
