I am an energetic candidate who has acquired sound chemical laboratory experience from educational institutions, automotive (manufacturing) and mining industry respectively. In my employment history I have worked as a Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Analyst, Laboratory Supervisor (Product Quality Supervisor) and at number of times in a period just exceeding three years as a relieving Laboratory Superintendent. In year 2016 I was appointed as a succession candidate for the Laboratory Superintendent position, a programme which I did not complete due to termination of my employment by retrenchment. I have been exposed to a number of operations on day-to-day basis from iron ore mining, processing and transportation where my core duties were to ensure correct sampling, sample preparation, laboratory physical (Surface area, density, test for brittleness of rocks etc.) and wet chemical analysis, and preparation of report thereafter. I played a crucial role in calibration of XRF, ICP and other general laboratory equipment. I also responsible for preparation and analysis of samples for inter-laboratory round robin analysis. Part of my daily responsibilities was to represent Quality Control department made up of sampling and wet chemical laboratory sections in daily engineering meetings that are constituted by all stakeholders involved in the mining, processing and loading out of iron ore. I acquired a deep insight in various company operations communicating with stakeholders at all levels in the company organogram as well as both internal and external customers and suppliers regularly. I have always played an active role in both promoting and upholding the code of conduct of the company for each work team member to voluntarily embrace the diverse culture of the work environment. As a supervisor it has been my duty to ensure awareness to Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality standards by subordinates at all times, holding daily pre-work meetings with my work team to discuss issues pertaining the just listed aspects of operational standards emphasizing the implications of both compliance and non-compliance tendencies. I have a good record of building strong work teams which happen to bubble on top when it comes to assessments of productivity and performance. Conducting individual performance plans for my subordinates, shortlisting and taking part in recruitment interviews for my department were also part of my duties as a supervisor. I have always been keeping a level eye on even the most ever small factor in finding ways to perform a given work task at in a better cost effective way without deviating from the company’s requirements and job integrity. I have played an active role in three consecutive years in my previous employment in the process of implementing SANAS 17025 in our laboratory, preparing test samples, ensuring analytical instruments calibrations (performed a number of XRF and ICP calibrations), taking part in progression and planning meetings, etc. All the on job tasks listed above including many more others which I could not share on this correspondence I, as an individual, acquired strong values over time on how to wisely handle myself both within the company and in social at large after working hours to remain competitive in my job. I have greatly learnt how to strike a balance between both my work and personal lives as they automatically influence each other. I always reflect back to the time I started and progression of my career with time and undoubtedly discover a gradual growth which today makes me stand firm and regard myself as one of the well experienced candidates in my field of work. It is a natural fact that I was once ambitious thinking that I have all it takes to benefit the employer in the role of my appointment until I gained proper training and experience in the field to be able to employ a deserving strategy in achieving according to what is required from me harmoniously without panic or immature responsive manner. Today I can proudly tell that through perseverance and learning, sometimes in a hard way, am that candidate who among other values strong interpersonal skills, have developed strong intelligence, acquired strong judgement and decision making skills, sound business/organisational communication skills, people management experience accompanied with disciplinary and mediation abilities, planning and organizing skills, flexible and dynamic, self-motivated and performance driven, always observe time management skills and ability to adapt to change in work environment. I think it is worthwhile to disclose that in 2017 I was fined for drunk driving and that incident amounts to criminal record but as I have just explained about myself I gave such occurrence a deserving attention to protect my integrity and status from vulnerability of useless and unlawful habits in order to maintain a balance between both social and employment life. There is quite a lot more I possess and wish to personally share with you that I am definitely sure will benefit your company by adding value and in the process growing myself even to higher heights of knowledge and involvement in the business world. Best wishes,
