I have over 35 years of experience in both the fields of Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management. I have gained extensive knowledge on a variety of critical functions through Senior Management positions. I am capable of negotiating contracts and can handle risk situations in the company quite well. I have carried out strategic roles and executed them to the benefit of the company and this has helped the company considerably. I have always assured the company’s profit and implemented many sets of actions to overcome any set of risk situations. I have a good understanding of situations, issues, problems, etc., by breaking it into smaller pieces or tracing the implications of a situation in a step by step way. Through analytical thinking includes organizing the parts of comparisons of different features or aspects; setting priorities on a rational basis; and identifying time sequences, causal relationships, or if-then relationships. I can communicate effectively through oral/written ideas by way of professional tone, emotion, clarity, accuracy, logic, etc. and express myself confidently in discussions. Listens to and acknowledges others. My ability to demonstrate full Quantity Surveying knowledge through the professional implementation of QS knowledge and skills concerned with the control of the cost of construction projects. Implement the methods employed to cover a range of activities which may include cost planning, value engineering, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, lifecycle costing, valuation, cost estimation, measuring quantities from drawings and specifications prepared by designers, architects and engineers. Further to the above, I am currently studying towards: i)Expert Certified Claims Specialist (ECCCS) ii) Expert Certified Construction Contract Administrator (ECCCA) and (iii) Expert Certified Construction Delay Analyst (ECCDA) In addition, I am also in the process of gaining membership to the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, membership number 6077743. Being in this field I know what is expected of a Commercial Manager or Quantity Surveyor.
