I have done numerous aluminium research vessels (national and international) and a range of smaller military craft. Utilizing Infusion Process Technology, I built high tech racing yachts in Dubai including America's Cup boats and Ferrari F1 Grand Prix cars. The cargo conversion project of Two Boeing 737- 300's at OR Tambo International. The manufacturing of composite structured seats for various aircraft companies. • I am familiar with all aspects of CAD drawings, Solid Models, Aegis Files and Step Files. • Managing roles as Departmental Manager, Production Manager, Project Coordinator, Supply Chain Manager and Quality Assurance Manager. My duties and responsibilities include: • Departmental Manager – Reporting to the Executive on all operations on a daily basis. Head of CNC cutting, (pre- impregnated carbon phenolic) Moulding composites (clean room) and Autoclave curing (pressure vessel and vacuum) processes. Manufacturing under licence MOP: 137, 138 and 145-B of the aerospace Industry. Applying Lean and World Class Manufacturing, 6s and TPM principles. The high tech manufacturing of aerospace seating for Boeing, Airbus, Safran France and Safran Great Britain. Structural components, exterior and interior body panelling for Smartlav, Pilatus, Aura and Spaceflex. Automotive components for McClaren supercars, composites bicycle wheels and frames for the cycling fraternity. Participating in development programs and Conformance Testing and FAI testing. • Production Manager - Ensuring the Steady flow of production, meeting production targets, adhering to statutory, standards and internal requirements. Improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability by implementing WCM, TPM, TQM, 5+1S and Lean systems. Leading multi-disciplinary teams in optimising and obtaining operational goals and pursuing opportunities to improve operational practises. Managing staff training and development needs to improve KPI’s. Strategic tracking of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery time and safety records. Continue to examine the implemented processes to ensure optimization and profits. Reporting to the CEO on a weekly basis on project status, efficiencies and variances. Liaising with clients in respect of any modifications to their products to best suit their needs. Ensuring all OHSACT, BCEA, Labour Relations ACT and Company Policy and Procedures are adhered to. (Safety Officer, appointment 16.2 – OHSACT. • Project Coordinator - Coordinating the Supply Chain function (the purchasing, sourcing and out- sourcing of machined components, galvanizing of piping etc.) and liaising with architects, machine shop engineers and pipe fitters to ensure the project stays on track. Renegotiating and adjusting time scales where necessary with relevant parties. Managing production planning, scheduling and logistics as well as organising the factory and related production departments. Implementing efficient material flow systems to meet factory requirements. Monitoring cost, productivity, accuracy and milestones are achieved. Continuously checking financial data to optimise efficiencies. • Quality Assurance Manager - I have worked with Lloyds Register, National Ports Authority, South African Civil Aviation Authority and South African Maritime Authority, Implementation of ISO 9001 quality standards also the works instructions and procedures. The integration of the ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards to comply with the SACAA regulations. The applicable ISO1400 and HACCP regulations for the FMCG food industry and legislation regarding Health and Safety. (Compliance).
