Who I am? My name Is Xolani Mkhwanazi a recent Information technology graduate from the University of Johannesburg. I am a person who enjoys coding and coming up with new and exciting ideas that can bring solutions. Throughout my 5 years of writing code I have grown accustomed to solving problems through code and exploring faster ways of solving problems to save time whilst creating a quality product. Although developing software may come with many challenges, I have learned that every problem has a solution especially when you’re part of a good team. This is one of the reasons I have made it my mission to pursue a job with your organization where I know I will meet good developers and staff members who will help me grow and expand my knowledge of software engineering to produce good quality software that will change people’s lives for the better. Why I would make a good fit in your organization? Throughout my academic career at the University of Johannesburg, I given at least 2 projects to complete every week using various programming languages and IDEs to come up with solutions for our projects through code. Completing these projects gave me the ability to think out of the box where necessary and learn how to come up with solutions by myself, which I think such skills can be very useful in the workplace as many types of problems may be needed to be solved. Besides the technical attributes I mentioned above, I am a disciplined person, I keep time, I do my best to meet promises and agreements, I respect people’s time and efforts. I am a person who strives for excellence and takes pride in my work. I believe that with my combination of motivation, knowledge, and eagerness to learn, I will make a good asset for your organization. Projects I have developed. Taxi-Club System Taxi club is a project I did as part of my final year at UJ with 2 other members. Taxi club was a system that was meant to help our stakeholder Mr. Mthembu manage his school transportation business. The system consisted of an administration website that Mr. Mthembu would use to manage his drivers, vehicles, and scholar passengers. The systems also consisted of a mobile application that the drivers would use to find their allocated vehicles and fetch passengers from various locations. Scholar passengers would also use the mobile app to view the details of the driver who will pick them up. The system used a PHP API which executed all major processes and transactions that took place within the admin site and mobile app. The database, API, and the admin site were all deployed and hosted on various cloud services. The mobile application used a virtual emulator. Below I have created a visual representation of my work.
