Zola Mngadi is the former manager of the Business Mentorship and Training Unit of the Seda Construction Incubator (SCI), a Mentorship organization for the emerging construction contractors registered with the Construction Industry Development Board - within the CIDB Grades 1 to 6; A position he attained in November 2016 after having been in the role of Training Management since June 2013 - a year and 9 month having been in the employ of the organization as a Business Development Officer (Business Advisor). Zola left his formal employment in June 2018 to pursue business as a Talent Manager and Business Facilitator – Trading as Pulse Network (Pty) Ltd and Pulse Movement (NPC) in which Human Capital Development, Career Management, and Skills Development services are in the core of his business. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND ACHIEVEMENTS o Former project management of the Vukuphile Contractor development programme for the SCI; an Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) initiative, implemented by the Ekurhuleni and Ethekwini Metro Municipalities in partnership with the National Department of Public Works (NDPW) – in the years 2017 / 2018. o Catalytic in the SCI acquiring the: - 2015 Training Institute of the Year Award and - 1st runner-up for the Africa Women Construction Award – Best Innovative Women in Construction Training Programme in the Year 2016. o Initiated the development and implementation of the Training and Mentorship Framework for SCI since the year 2015. o Successful completion of the GrowthWheel business mentorship programmes in the year 2013 – as well as gave support as a unit manager to the departmental head in implementation in the period(s) after. o Successful establishment of the Training and Skills Development Unit of the SCI which has been catalyst in the establishment of the first Skills Centre in Nellmapius – Gauteng in the Year 2015 / 16. o Successful completion of the 1st phase of the Learnership project valued at 1.4 million rand CETA grant; the self-funded Learnerships implementation in the East London and Atteridgeville Incubation centres; as well as the verification and certification of all skills programmes implemented by the SCI between the years 2012 through to the year 2017. o Successful implementation of the special skills programmes in partnership with the South African Institute for Chartered Accountants (SAICA) as well as the Bank Seta. o Pending completion of registration with the Institute of Business Advisors in South Africa (IBASA)
